Karen Strickland/
@strictlykaren and Doug Belshaw, @dajbelshaw in conversation at the eAssessment Scotland conference.
Doug was giving a workshop pen Badges: Assessment for Learning with Steve Sidaway.

Karen discussed the Journal of Perspectives in Applied Academic Practice, which

aims to provide a supportive publishing outlet to allow established and particularly new authors to contribute to the scholarly discourse of academic practice (both generally and in their discipline area) through the publication of papers that are theory-based and supported by evidence, as well as through the publication of Opinion Pieces and ‘On the Horizon’ papers on emerging work.

and is committed to open practices including open peer review. It has its own, @JofPAAP, twitter account.

Doug discussed the Web Literacy Standard and the need for feedback. Some of the feedback has, with permission, been published and makes an interesting read.

Doug has already blogged about the conference.
